Thomas Andrews is one of several restaurants on Cookeville's West Side. Its new location, located directly across from its previous location, is a spacious and contemporary venue. The primary dining area is perfect for casual lunches or even date night. Through double doors is the bar area, separate from the main room and leads directly into the patio. The restaurant uses could range from receptions to drinks with friends. There is so much to offer. Aside from the venue itself, the menu has an abundance of options that would entice anyone's taste buds!
Another enjoyable eatery is Crawdaddy's, located a few stores down from Thomas Andrews. Its patio dinning is a charming spot beneath overhanging trees, perfect for lunch or a candlelit dinner. Inside is a large dinning area along with the upstairs bar and more open seating. Also, Wednesday through Saturday nights the patio is accompanied by musical entertainment.
For after dinner treats there are quite a few options. The Candy Caboose, located across from the Discovery Depot Toy Store, is everything a candy store should be with an entire display case of an assortment of chocolate treats. There's also many other candies for your sweet tooth throughout the store.
For cool summer treats make your way over to the Cream City Ice Cream. They offer a range of ice cream flavors and shakes, along with coffee options as well. This is located right across from the depot under the historical Cream City sign.
Finally, Sweet Sallies Bakery and Cafe is the perfect place to stop buy to grab one of their delicious cupcakes or a coffee drink. They also specialize in cakes. Their cafe is quaint with a modern spin. It's causal atmosphere lends a desirable hang-out spot or a quiet place to read a book.
The dinning options are in abundance on the West Side as are the boutiques and shops. Discovery Depot is a toy store full of games, dolls, jewelry and anything else a child might enjoy! Just when you think you've reached the end of the store another room appears passing expectations. It's the perfect shop for children and gift ideas.
The recently opened Sweet Pea boutique is a hip and trendy clothing store with unique pieces. Be prepared to be greeted with friendly smiles and helpful employees. This is the perfect place for the modern day teen, young adult, or any female with a unique style!
If culture is your thing, A Rare Find is the place for you. With pieces and trinkets from all around the world, this store has culture and a vintage feel. In the back of the store the newly opened Meadow's Pharm restaurant. They serve delicious quick lunches, quiches and salads.
